There have been some unclear areas that concern the community and we would like to take some time to answer these!
Our goal for CCSW 2021 was to continue our transition from a pilot program in 2019, to preparing players and teams for a more structured experience that is common to competitive Rainbow Six Siege. Unfortunately what this means is not all teams can qualify, even if this means a few teams will miss out. (The main event team size will remain at 8)
In regards to play days and length of play days, you’ve indicated that our blog post sends the wrong message in response to the play days and time constraints for this event. As we closely mimic CCS5’s format, which is a double elimination event (Similar to what you see for OGA Pit, or some other esports for example) not every team will play on the same night.
North America will play on Tuesday evenings. (All matches will fall on a Tuesday)
Match number 1 will begin at 6:00 PM EST.
Match number 2 will begin at 9:00 PM EST.
(Match number 2 could start earlier if Match 1 has a score of 2-0)
Europe will play on Thursday evenings. (All matches will fall on a Tuesday)
Match number 1 will begin at 6:00 PM CEST.
Match number 2 will begin at 9:00 PM CEST.
(Match number 2 could start earlier if Match 1 has a score of 2-0)
We would like to apologize if you feel let down by the timing, or the format of this event. We have hopes that many more tournament organizers share the same wish to foster women in esports to develop already amazing talents for much bigger and brighter opportunities. (Participating in National Leagues, Challenger Leagued or NAL, EUL, and so on)
Please consider items such as length of event in correlation with paying staff members, staff availability and conflicts with other events and commitments made by people who also work on CCSW. We try our best when determining play times and play days that will work for dozens of players in different time zones and regions. Once we have our qualified teams we will hold a captains meeting as per usual which we can address or fine tune scheduling concerns.
With all of that said, below you can find the outline to our main event- which is a double elimination format. There will be a full bracket on our Battlefy page once we have our 8 teams.
